Join us for a free 1-hour webinar on an overview of Professional Practice: A Guide to the Practice of Architecture, Engineering, and Land Surveying in Massachusetts given by Paul Tyrell, PE, PLS Chair of the Board of Registration for Engineers and Land Surveyors. Paul Tyrell, a practicing Civil Engineer and Land Surveyor, will provide attendees with an overview of professional licensure, common complaints received by the Board against engineers and surveyors as well as insight on other professional licensure issues. Joined by Mr. Tyrell is Paul Campbell, PE, PLS, President of MALSCE, who will be providing practical guidance to current and prospective licensees on best practices for 250 CMR compliance.

Join the MALSCE Public Awareness Committee

 

The MALSCE Public Awareness Committee is charged with promoting the general recognition and acceptance of the practice of land surveying and survey engineering and stimulating a greater interest in public perceptions affecting the profession. Committee chair David Prince, PLS, from WSP, has been holding regular meetings and committee members are visiting schools to promote a career in land surveying to secondary school students.

The MALSCE Education Trust is a 501(c) (3) organization that invests in students and educators for the future of the land surveying and civil engineering professions. UMaine has several different surveying degree and certificate programs available online, click here to learn more. Franklin Cummings Tech offers online courses for professionals currently working in the land surveying field who wish to become registered Professional Land Surveyors in Massachusetts. Other universities with online surveying and geomatics programs options include Ferris State University and Oregon Institute of Technology.
